World Creativity & Innovation Week – Proclamation – City of Orlando (Mayor Buddy Dyer) – Effective April 15, 2022
Our community has a long history of encouraging out-of-court dispute resolution, having recognized mediation, along with the principles and practices that it embodies, as a crucial tool for peacemaking between individuals, groups, units, and neighborhoods, as well as governments. Our region continues to be a leader in those efforts; and the Collaborative Practice model of conflict resolution offers families a creative way to resolve disputes peacefully, respectfully, and privately with the support of a multidisciplinary team of professionals; and
The International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) is a global interdisciplinary organization with members from around the world who are dedicated to out-of-court dispute resolution using the Collaborative Practice model of conflict resolution; and
IACP’s International Membership of Collaborative Professionals
IACP and its membership have been invited to honor the use of creativity and innovation in advancing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by participating in 2022’s World Creativity & Innovation Week & Day. As 2022’s WCIW theme is Collaboration, IACP’s international membership of Collaborative Professionals was uniquely selected to present information to the public and non-Collaborative professionals about Collaborative Practice and how it furthers UN Sustainable Development Goal #16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions;
